Sawmill in the local area
If you’re looking for a sawmill service I have a Scierie Mobile Gilbert (SMG) sawmill retro fitted with loading boom and hydraulic log roller . This mill has hydraulic blade tension, quick adjusting blade controls and is capable of sawing up to a 30" by 16ft log into custom size lumber. I prefer customers with small specialized custom saw jobs.
Mission Statement
Purpose of this venture is to turn personal hobbies into a supplement of retirement income.
Plan of action includes:
- Improvement to Sugar House and Sugar Bush
- Thinning of sugar Bush by harvesting woods interfering with the growth of maturing maple Trees
- Sawing and sales of lumber produced by conservative methods and small efficient equipment when appropriate.
- The contract sawing of customer harvested trees allowing them to reclaim a resource that might otherwise be a loss to them.

- Sugar house, tanks, evaporator and related items for maple syrup production.
- Tractor, logging winch, wood chipper
- Portable Band Sawmill
My equipment has been acquired over many years but will be updated by as income allows.

Quick Reference Guide
- Know what your going to use your lumber for. This helps you decide the practicality of your project. How long to cut your logs, the stacking and storing your lumber.
- Transporting your logs to the sawmill. A trailer is a good option.
- My fee’s: $.50 pbf hardwood, $.40 pbf softwood. $25 blade charge if I hit a nail.
There’s a number of reasons I don’t move the sawmill, mostly related to productivity.
